  • Check thermostat and A/C operation for proper start, operation and shut off
  • Check air filter; replace if necessary
  • Check blower motor bearings
  • Check and clean furnace cabinet
  • Check fan speed
  • Check all wiring for loose connections, including thermostat
  • Check voltage at the furnace
  • Check blower amp draw on the furnace
  • Check condensate drain and trap. Prime trap with water
  • Turn off the humidifier and close dampers
  • Check contactor and relays
  • Check start and run capacitors
  • Check and clean condenser
  • Check disconnect
  • Check condenser motor and blades, amperage of motor
  • Check compressor amps
  • Check TXV. Check charge, ambient temp, subcooling, superheat
  • Check and tighten service caps
  • Check Delta T at coil
  • Check refrigerant lines including all connections, service valves and caps
  • Quick visual check of ductwork
  • Check the furnace area for safety. No flammables, clutter, etc

Evaporative Cooler Start-Up Procedure

  • Remove cover
  • Clean reservoir
  • Check water line and connections; start flow; check for leaks
  • Put belt on; check belt condition and tension
  • Check blower cage
  • Turn on power to unit and check incoming voltage
  • Check and oil motor, check amp draw
  • Check water distribution; plug in pump; check pump operation and adjust float
  • Check pads, recommend replacement if needed
  • Open registers and check air flow
  • Check 6 Position Switch or thermostat
  • Final check for leaks in water line, connections and cooler body

Evaporative Cooler Shut Down Procedure

  • Turn off power to unit
  • Shut off water; drain line thoroughly
  • Empty reservoir
  • Unplug pump. Remove belt from motor
  • Put cover on cooler
  • Close registers. Put any insulation needed in place

19 Point Boiler Precision Tune Up

  • Check thermostat and boiler operation for proper start, operation and shut off
  • Check and clean burners
  • Check heat exchanger for cracks, rust and leaks
  • Check and clean boiler cabinet
  • Check all wiring for loose connections, including thermostats
  • Purge if necessary
  • Check fill valve, air vents and aqua stat. Take temps
  • Check expansion tank
  • Check voltage at boiler and amperage of motor
  • Check zone valves for open and close
  • Check gas valve
  • Measure incoming gas pressure
  • Check ignition system, controls and safety devices
  • Quick visual check of baseboard for dust, obstructions
  • Check flue for obstructions, rust and slope
  • Check all gas connections and pipe for leaks
  • Check boiler area for safety. No flammables, clutter, etc
  • Check for CO. Note whether CO detectors are present. Advise to obtain one if none present
  • On 90% boilers, check that termination and air intake openings are clear and unobstructed

  • Check thermostat and furnace operation for proper start, operation and shut off
  • Check air filter; replace if necessary
  • Check and clean burners
  • Pull and clean blower motor and blower cage. Check run capacitor
  • Check heat exchanger for cracks, rust and leaks
  • Check ignition system, controls and safety devices, including cleaning flame sensor/thermal couple
  • Check and clean furnace cabinet
  • Check IDM, including hoses and drain
  • Check condensate drain and trap. Prime trap with water
  • Check all wiring for loose connections, including thermostat
  • Check induced draft furnaces per AHRI guidelines
  • Check Delta T
  • Measure incoming gas pressure and manifold pressure, only if Delta T is out of manufacturer’s specs
  • Check voltage at furnace and amperage of motor
  • Check flue for obstructions, rust and slope
  • Check all gas connections and pipe for leaks only if customer mentions or you smell gas
  • Check furnace area for safety. No flammables, clutter, etc
  • Quick visual check of ductwork
  • Check for CO. Note whether CO detectors are present. Advise to obtain one if none present
  • On 90% furnaces check that termination and air intake openings are clear and unobstructed
